OPTIONS For Community Living
The OPTIONS for Community Living Program administered by the AAAD is a home and community based project to provide services to older adults and other adults with disabilities who are at risk of losing their independence. The OPTIONS Program includes a state funded only component and a Medicaid Waiver component. Services provided under the state funded only component include Homemaker, Home Delivered Meals, and Personal Care Assistance.
Homemaker – Light housekeeping services that include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, changing linens, cleaning the bathroom and other services on a case-by-case basis.
Home-Delivered Meals – A nutritionally balanced meal one time a day five days a week.
Personal Care Assistance – Stand by or cue assistance for the individual or caregiver for personal needs such as bathing or grooming.
