Become a Mentor

As a mentor you will play a role in the vitality of your community and the future of West Tennessee. Your involvement in providing college access services indicates your dedication to improving the educational attainment of West Tennessee.

What Does a Mentor Do?

Training and Time Commitment

Mentors in each county or community are led by REDI College Access coordinators through a detailed and thorough training workshop. Mentoring assignments are not complex; you will have ready access to trained experts and resources.

The time requirements will depend on what you and your mentee determine is needed. Some may only need to meet with you one time for assistance in filling out financial forms like the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Others may need to meet more often.
