THDA HOME Grants
www.state.tn.us/thdaThe Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) contracts with the SWTDD to assist local governments and not-for-profit entities in applying for, implementing and developing affordable housing for very low and low income families in our eight county area. THDA administers the federally-funded HOME program to promote the production, preservation and rehabilitation of housing for low and very low income individuals. Municipalities and counties are eligible to apply for a possible $500,000 in grant monies with no match required. HOME funds are awarded through a competitive application process.

Ms. Campbell’s improvements were mainly made inside her home. Five homes were rehabilitated. The Southwest Tennessee Development District administered the grant for the city.
