The Tennessee Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations (TACIR) contracts annually with the SWTDD to provide an inventory of infrastructure needs within the District. SWTDD interviews every mayor and county executive, planning commissions, utility districts, school districts, Chambers of Commerce and others to provide a listing (by county) of infrastructure projects which will improve quality of life for citizens, support livable communities and enhance and encourage the overall economic development of the District. The District provides a database of “Community Development” projects (each amounting to $50,000 or more) to TACIR no later than June 30th each year.
