FIDP Grants

The Tennessee Fast Track Infrastructure Development Program (FIDP) is funded through the Department of Economic and Community Development for infrastructure improvement. Funds cannot be used for “speculative” purposes, but are restricted to situations where there is commitment by private sector business to locate or expand in the local area of application. The creation and retention of additional jobs for Tennesseans is expected.

The maximum grant amount is $750,000 per county per year for eligible projects. Typical projects funded by this program include water and waste water infrastructure improvements to commercial and building expansion sites, as well as site grading improvements to unusual building sites. There is no local match involved, and the match varies according to jurisdiction.
