Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS)
The Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) is the local planning and implementation process designed to create jobs, foster more stable and diversified economies, improve living conditions and provide a mechanism for guiding and coordinating the Southwest Tennessee region in achieving economic development. Partially funded by EDA dollars, the current CEDS consists of a S.W.O.T. analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) of the region, specific tactics that can be used to achieve economic development, and county-by-county statistical data.
